During the day, the pineal gland is mostly inactive, but once the sun goes down it gets turned on and begins to release melatonin into your bloodstream. Because the body makes its own melatonin, it should be a natural fact that we all have enough; however, the busy lifestyle of too much blue screen at night, late night TV, and prolonged lack of sleep during stressful times, keeps the body from producing the proper amount. With toxicity of the brain also on the rise, the pineal is supposed to signal the production of melatonin, but it needs to be all made in the dark at night. When we have low level lights or a TV on in the room, and it’s not pitch black, then melatonin production is lowered. Melatonin is a hormone, and it is responsible for DTOXification of the brain as well as promoting sleep. Recognize that just starting out, many times taking this product can cause sleeplessness to occur (as it DTOXifies the brain first) then aids in sleep. If needed, add Natural Sleep.
